Training So Far...
My aim was to
do my module two exams in May, but due to some sort of virus (Human not computer)
I was off work for 5 months and couldn't even study for a lot of that time.
In the end August 2004 was the target date, with the two week brush-up course
in Cheddar (place not cheese) with Bristol Ground school.
The module two exams were more facts and figures as opposed to the calculations, formula and plotting stuff of mod one.
The studying didn't seem as bad this time, i'm not sure if that was because I was used to doing it from the Mod one or it was a little easier. BUT, I must say that mod two was a little easier as the helicopter chaps only had the five exams to do this time.
As you can see the dining room got taken over during the exam week. Exam week consisted of getting up studying before exam, doing the exam and then studying until about 12 o clock for the next day. Scraps of food were thrown at me sometimes as it was not safe to disturb me.
After the exams it is the ten day wait for the results.
OK, Waiting over.......Bugger
!!!
Passed four out of the five exams and missed out on the POF exam.
For some strange reason the CAA decided to change the question bank from the
CAA questions to the JAA versions.
Oh well, Back to the studying again.
I booked the
re-sits for November and specified Oxford for both options as this is where
I have done all of the other exams.
Just my luck, this time Oxford is booked up and the exams are booked for December.
It was probably better this way as I had just decided to start a new job,
self employed and had lots of other stuff to do as well (not great planning,
I know).
I re-sat the Met from Mod 1 and the Heli. POF from Mod 2. I spent a lot of time studying for these, the family saw me only briefly each day. When exam day came I was sure I was ready. When I came out of the exams I was sure I had made a mess of the POF, but done OK with the Met.
Whatever happened, I had the ten day wait !
Fantastic, I
passed both. Thats the last of the exams and now to the best bit, the flying.
I still have lots of hour building to do before I can do the course but I
am looking forward to it.
