Compass Deviation Magnetic Variation True ?

I have probably been looking at the notes for module one for just under a year. Yes, it is a long time but i'm in no great rush and have had other things to do.
Can't think what those other things are now though.
I have found it quite hard, but I haven't had to do any learning like this since school which is about 22 years ago.
The two week brush up course at Bristol Groundschool was quite a tough one. Lots of very late nights but it's suprising what you can learn in such a short space of time. The instructors were great. The mixture of students was surprising to me, from RAF test pilots with hundreds of hours to commercial pilots, Navy navigator, two policemen (flying squad I guess) to me with my 50 hours !
